Themes and Variations: Colorful Glass Facade

For another installment of “Themes and Variations,” above are some art glass studies developed for one of my recent projects, a colorful glass facade for the main entrance of 101 North Tryon St. in Charlotte’s City Center.
For some projects, a certain direction is requested from the start, so composition becomes a matter of experimenting with pattern or color within fairly limited parameters. In other projects, there is more room for experimentation. As you can see, I explored a number of different possibilities before landing on the version that I ultimately pursued.
